GROUND TEAMS

All of our members are first and foremost a ground team member. Requirements follow the OSSA guidelines and requirements for Oregon State Search Certification. These areas include proficiency in map and compass, land navigation, radio communications, base operations, shelter building and extensive survival techniques, patient assessment and stokes operations, helicopter safety, knots and rope work. Once an individual has their OSSA card for search certification they are considered a ground team member and can now assist in active searches.
